Camilla Gough - Jeweller and Sculptor

I began by completing a Bachelor of Fine Art in sculpture, and this strong grounding in object making instilled the importance of making every piece of jewellery a complete object that stands alone like a piece of art.  I have a distinct style that is a combination of my aesthetic and the way I approach constructing objects.  I have been making art for as long as I can remember; being an artist wasn't so much of a choice as what I am.   I have slowly taught myself over many years the trade of jewellery, everything I make is entirely by hand.

The enjoyable aspect of commissioned jewellery for me is the privilege to hear people tell their stories. Whether it be of their life, their family or of love the exchange is wonderful.  My task is to weave the essence of these stories into precious objects to wear.
