I WORK ENTIRELY BY HAND AND THEN SPEND A GREAT DEAL OF TIME REMOVING ALL HAND MARKS SO THE APPEARANCE IS FLAWLESS. |

CASE STUDY Sterling silver, rose, yellow and white gold's, briolette peridot drops and beads The brief was to make an elegant necklace that had elements of trees and the sea. They had been going out for a couple of years, he loved her enormously and wanted to have something beautiful made for their anniversary. She always accessorised her outfits but owned no expensive jewellery. He told me how he chased her for quite a while until one night when he was walking her home over Merri Creek she turned and asked when he was going to kiss her. He said he dropped everything he was carrying. It was such a sweet story and since I was making something that represented their first couple of years in love, I thought it would be fitting to somehow incorporate the story into the necklace. I broke a twig off a Eucalypt tree at the beginning of the little foot bridge and cast it in cuttlefish so it looked like it came from the sea. Her favourite colour is green so I made two little peridot briolette drops to look like sweet ripe fruit. I have since made their wedding rings.
