handcrafted layers of 18ct yellow and white gold, the rippled stepped edges reflecting the pattern created in the sand on the shore edge. Little golden coloured diamonds
For an ocean ring design I work with the sleeves laid flat. I begin with the inner layer and work out. The thickness of the layers determines the number of sleeves. It’s a balance between following a pattern that begins to generate in the second sleeve and adding extra rhythm as the sleeves progress, much like watching the sea roll into a rock wall and abruptly flow back into an oncoming wave, I like that collision point. I never exactly know how these rings will finish up, I have to make them from start to finish in one go, I can’t lose my place in the flow.
