How it works

Commissioning a piece of jewellery from the workshop of camillagough is a wonderful process that results in a unique piece of beautifully handcrafted jewellery.

A consultation can be made through an arranged appointment at our workshop in Melbourne, or we have extensive experience working remotely, relying on email and Skype. Prior to a consultation, we will email a guide on what useful information to gather that will assist camillagough to personalise the design.

A budget will be determined from the outset of the process to ensure we propose jewellery designs that are within the customer’s expectation of cost.

The design process is light and joyful and our highly creative practice is adept at coming up with unique ideas to reflect simple or elaborate briefs.

Design concepts are hand drawn and presented for appraisal and changes are patiently undertaken in consultation with the customer.

We have over 20 years experience sourcing gorgeous coloured gems and fabulous conflict free diamonds for the customer to choose. The precious metals used in our workshop are recycled.

We recognise the sentimentality of jewellery that is passed down through generations and we will reclaim supplied gems and precious metal, however only after the materials have been viewed and deemed suitable for recycling into a fresh handcrafted piece of jewellery.

We recommend a minimum of six weeks to complete a commissioned piece of jewellery, and this time frame may vary depending on the complexity of the design. If a shorter deadline is required, it is worth contacting our workshop to see if it is possible.

A completed piece of camillagough jewellery is packaged in a beautiful presentation box.

camillagough is an exclusively creative practice; we do not replicate other jeweller’s designs or directly make a presented design that does not originate from our extensive catalogue of work.
